Hello! Today I'd like to share a project I'm very proud of: my very first 2D lip sync animation!

There's this random movie clip sound that I got from movie-sounds.org and it quickly reminded me of my girlfriend simply complaining about the oddest things.

So my inspiration started to surge, and my work began. First, as per custom, I made some thumbnails:

Once I was happy with the idea, I quickly moved to Toon Boom Harmony and began playing around with the art-style, trying to find a sweet spot for the holy trinity: easy to animate, good to look at and expressive.

I ended up with these guys, which still changed after I started animating, but worked to give me SOMETHING to use as a reference, aside from an actual picture of us.

Now, one would think you'd begin by posing and blocking out the animation, but before I did that, I actually wanted to know what the mouth poses would look like for the main character. 

Once I got THAT sorted, I really got to work. To be honest, I made quick work of it, and I am very happy with the result!
